Jam Acuzar has always felt a deep connection with her Lolo Paquito’s spirit.

She didn’t get a chance to know him before he died but Tatay, as Jam calls him, was known in the family as an excellent cook.

“ His warmth, charisma and ability to make anyone feel loved lives on through this dish, which Mama always made for us,” Jam shared in the caption of one of her recent Instagram posts.

“There’s no recipe really – just 6 ingredients you throw in a pot and leave to simmer for 2 hours. Now I get to cook it for my little family and share a piece of Tatay with all of them. 🧄 +🧅 +🥩 +🍋 +🍅 +soysauce,” Jam wrote.
