The National Bureau of Investigation’s (NBI) probe of visual artist Bree Jonson’s death has hit a snag with the discovery that her major organs are missing.

Ma. Moreni Salandanan, the Jonsons’ lawyer, said the police crime laboratory failed to turn over the 30-year-old painter’s organs to the family for the NBI’s examination.

“Bree’s major organs are missing. The PNP claimed it only got sample slices but wants a court order to release them to the NBI,” Salandanan said, adding that the Jonsons are clueless as to where the artist’s entire major organs are.

Salandanan said PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar assured Jonson’s family that he will order the immediate turnover of her organs so the NBI can examine them.

Jonson’s lifeless body was found on Sept. 18 at the Flotsam and Jetsam Hostel in La Union inside the room she shared with Julian Ongpin, the son of bilyonaryo Bobby Ongpin.

Salandanan said Jonson’s family is still awaiting the report from the histopathology examination of her cadaver to determine the cause of her death.
