Siargao’s reopening was announced by Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo Puyat, who flew in to the island with testing czar Secretary Vince Dizon to check the surfing hotspot.

Tourists who will be traveling by plane to either the Siargao Island Airport and Surigao City Airport should present the following:
– A negative swab or saliva RT-PCR test taken in the last 48 hours
– Valid ID
– Booking confirmation from establishments accredited by the Department of Tourism for at least two nights
– Travel certificate from the city or municipality of destination for tourists invited by locals
