The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the injured man as Melchor Dela Cruz.

He was brought to the nearby St. Luke’s Medical Center BGC for emergency treatment.

The fire, which reached first alarm past 7:20 p.m, was visible from nearby condominium and office buildings in BGC.

It was declared under control past 9 p.m., though firemen were still struggling to put out the blaze as of 10 p.m.

The BFP said gas leak was the suspected cause of fire.

The initial amount of damage was estimated at P200,000.
