WalterMart, the community mall arm of the Sy family’s SM group, has acquired a portion of the 10-hectare Cavite property owned by the Ang family’s Primex Development.

WalterMart paid P200 million for two hectares of the Primex property along Governor’s Drive in Naic, Cavite. It currently has four branches in Cavite – Carmona, Dasmarinas, General Trias and Trece Martires.

The whole Primex property, which has a frontage of 330 meters, is right beside the 166-hectare Cavite Technopark of Ayala Land Logistics Holdings.

Primex executive vice president Karlvin Ernest L. Ang expected the remaining eight hectares of the company to appreciate in value with the construction of a WalterMart commercial center in the area.

Ang said the site was primed for growth considering its accessibility to the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), Manila Cavite Expressway Extension (CAVITEX), Cavite TagaytayBatangas Expressway (CTBEX) and Bataan Cavite Interlink Bridge.
