Bilyonaryo Senator Manny Pacquiao has offered to help Apple CEO Tim Cook distribute the tech giant’s donations to victims of super typhoon “Odette” (Rai).
“Thank you for helping our country. If there is anything our team here in the Philippines can do to help you on the ground, we are at your disposal,” said Pacquiao on Twitter.
Pacquiao was reacting to Cook’s tweet on December 21:” Typhoon Rai has caused so much devastation in the Philippines and Malaysia — so many families have lost so much. Apple will be contributing to relief, recovery, and longer-term rebuilding efforts. #OdettePH “
The global boxing icon, who has a net worth of P3.2 billion, is currently running for president in the 2022 national elections.
But supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo, who is also running for president. were quick to sabotage the senator’s offer by suggesting that Cook funnel Apple’s donations through her office.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported on Wednesday that Odette left 177 deaths, 275 injured and 38 others missing in Visayas and Mindanao last weekend.

I suggest instead of Manny P. You can coordinate with @lenirobredo. You can expect transparency
