If you want to visit IKEA’s biggest store in the world, you might have to wait a week after its opening on Thursday, Nov 25.
The Swedish furniture maker’s pre-booked slots for its Mall of Asia branch in Pasay City have been all filled up in its opening week through December 1.
The IKEA store, which will feature at least 8,000 products, can hold up to 850 visitors under strict COVID-19 protocols.
IKEA adopted an online pre-booking system to control the number of customers per day, from 10 a.m.to 8:30 p.m.
Each customer can take up to three slots per booking to be confirmed via mobile phone.
But it recommends visiting the store on a weekday to avoid the weekend crowd.
“We’re looking forward to seeing you soon, with your mask on, of course. You can also continue to shop online at IKEA.ph as usual,” said IKEA.
IKEA was originally scheduled to open its first Philippine store in 2020, but the global pandemic forced it to delay its launch for a year.
