Monica Urquijo has always loved Filipino craftsmanship.

She took to Instagram to share her fascination and amazement over the work of Filipino filmmaker and artist Kidlat Tahimik. For her, it reflects the impact of colonialism in local Filipino cultures. “The pieces from the exhibition were carved in Baguio// found on the beach and repurposed //woven by indigenous communities in the north,” Monica shared.
