
With the boom in delivery services, the Social Security System is urging drivers to register under the agency’s self employed category.
According to the SSS, this will allow food and courier delivery riders to avail of social security benefits such as loans and pension.
Delivery riders are entitled to minimum benefits under the Labor Code of the Philippines.
The Social Security System (SSS) urged delivery riders in food delivery and courier activities to become self-employed members and be covered for social security protection to enjoy various benefit programs and loan privileges offered by the pension fund.
