Senior citizens aged 65 years and older who miss being outdoors can set foot in Intramuros once again.

The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has given the green light for senior citizens to tour the walled city, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced Friday (October 15). The elderly tourists, however, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The IATF will still finalize the conditions for the entry of elderly tourists before easing restrictions. Seniors will initially be allowed at Fort Santiago and Baluarte San Diego, which are both open air attractions at Intramuros.
