Former BPI Securities chief Mike Oyson is appealing for cool heads as the election season is heating up.

The finance executive advised people against name calling and deriding those who don’t share their views.

“The election season has started. Just remember that while you may have all the right to articulate your perception of truth, you have no right to impose it on other people,” Oyson tweeted. “Stop labelling people dumb just because they don’t share your perception of truth.”

Social media is on fire as supporters of various presidential and vice presidential candidates have been posting in favor of their bets and against their opponents since the filing of candidacies last week.
