The SM Group is cashing in on the unprecedented surge in fur parents wanting to pamper their pets amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Sy-blings announced a wider “pawprint” for their flagship Pet Express stores, saying three more branches are set to open between October to December of 2021.

The new stores will be at the Grand Central in Monumento, Caloocan, SM Southmall in Las Pinas, and in SM Clark in Pampanga.

The opening of new outlets will increase Pet Express’ mall footprint to 20 branches.

The store offers local brands for dog food, such as Whole Pet Kitchen and Goodboy Dog Food, as well as international brands for pet food and accessories.

“We continue to position Pet Express to be the supermarket store of choice of pet parents for their cat and dog needs,” Jason Go, Senior Assistant Vice President for Merchandising at Pet Express, said in a statement.

“We also strive to be the go-to store for all our customers health and wellness needs for their pets,” he added.
