Bilyonaryo Edgar Injap Sia II’s DoubleDragon Properties Corp. expects to generate P18.14 billion from five upcoming hotel projects which includeinclude what the group envisions to be the biggest airport hotel in Visayas and Mindanao.

In a statement, DoubleDragon said its hotel subsidiary Hotel 101 is targeting to complete construction of prime properties in Cebu, Libis, Boracay, Palawan and Bohol in time for the expected upswing and full post-Covid 19 recovery by 2024.

Hotel 101 has already secured all the necessary building permits for the 548-room Hotel 101-Cebu Mactan Airport.

These projects will boost DoubleDragon’s room hotel inventory to 5,000 by 2025, one of the largest in the country.

The Hotel 101 projects in Boracay, Palawan and Bohol are prime white sand beachfront properties that are designed to be eco-friendly with complete modern sustainable features and facilities.

Through the Hotel 101 concept, DoubleDragon will generate revenue and income twice, first from the pre-selling of the condotel units, then secondly after the project is completed it starts to generate long term recurring revenue from hotel operations.

“As far as we are aware, Hotel 101 is the only hotel concept of its kind in the world,” said Sia, DoubleDragon chairman.

Hotel 101, being a 3-star affordable hotel, maintained high occupancy even at the height of the pandemic.
