Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat has been working hard.

Her goal of course is to promote domestic tourism while ensuring the public that it is, in fact, already safe to travel.

Of course, there are some risks involved but Puyat aims to mitigate that by focusing on the welfare of tourism workers. It has been her goal to restart tourism in Baguio since September 2020 and it’s coming into full gear this year with 100% of active tourism workers in Baguio City now reportedly vaccinated.

“This year, with fully vaccinated tourism workers, we hope to sustain the gradual growth of tourism and see Baguio City become a sanctuary of wellness and healing, and the place where we can breathe in culture, creativity, and nature,” she wrote in the caption.

Any plans to go to Baguio, anytime soon?
