This saying proves to be true for bilyonaryo Eisa P. Mercado’s waste management service company IPM Holdings Inc. which has flourished despite the pandemic.
IPM saw its first half earnings rise more than three-fold to P7.67 million from only P2.38 million in the same period last year, largely driven by the increase in income of its hauling and waste collections joint venture in Cagayan de Oro.
Revenue and other income went up nine percent to P137.9 million. Service income grew 15 percent to P135.4 million due to the tipping fees charged to local government units, private hauling revenues and higher earnings from its garbage collection JV in CDO.
The company, with a vision of providing quality environmental and waste management services nationwide, is spearheading activities aimed to enable municipalities, cities, and provinces to establish integrated waste management systems.
In partnership with local government units on a public-private partnership framework, IPM subsidiary Basic Environmental Systems and Technologies Inc. pioneered in developing and operating state-of-the-art facilities to properly address waste management needs.
IPM plans to further expand its private waste collection and disposal operations in Metro Manila.
Acknowledging the need for innovative and sustainable ways to improve its services, BEST launched its online My Basurero App and the Trash to Cashback Program powered by bXTRA.
BEST seeks to adopt modern systems and technologies to change the way people view waste and waste management.
IPM is in advanced stages of development for more PPP projects which will place BEST at the forefront of the waste management industry across the country.
